As you sip your first glass of chilled wine from the site shop, the kids can go off and make new friends in the playground, visit our friendly pigs, or play hide and seek up in the oak knoll. Either get the Barbie going with some delicious venison burgers or visit the Larches Restaurant directly across the road from the Park. There are umpteen other Hotels/restaurants nearby and you can borrow the sample menu folder to see what you fancy. Fresh rolls and newspapers can be ordered daily, and we sell bacon which has been traditionally cured by our local butcher. For those who prefer back to basic camping among the wildflowers - perhaps with a campfire under the stars - we can offer the overspill area. This has been re-landscaped to a flat grassy field with designated fire areas. Group bookings welcome. The Utility Block is fully heated and has toilets, powers showers, hand and hair-dryers. The new highly efficient boiler system ensures that hot water is always abundant. We pride ourselves on keeping this area spotlessly clean. There is also a Laundry room with a washer and dryer, a dishwashing area and a Public telephone with a trust library. We also have a chemical disposal point. Tent hire is available locally and we can arrange to have it delivered here for your use (and if you get a bit stuck we can give you a hand to put it up!!)

20th January 2008Stayed here near the end of last season (2007) with a group of friends. Site itself is fine although it is literally right on the main road (small row of trees the only barrier) and so it's not exactly peaceful! Showers were poor with very low water pressure. Location is good for exploring the local area and there seemed to be no restiction on fires.
