Even with the idyllic location of the main campsite many visitors to Ty Isaf have commented how they would like to camp by the river. As from the summer of 2006 we were able to accommodate campers at this location and the venue proved very popular with both new and regular visitors. It is a short distance from the main campsite, approximately half a mile, and may suit the more adventurous campers or keen anglers as there is no electric hook, there is however a toilet. (Full facilities are of course available at the campsite ). Due to the narrow track and the low headroom of the disused railway bridge this area can be used by tents only.

9th July 2009I can definitely recommend this campsite, river camping , fishing, open fires, and the fella (Stan) that looks after the bottom fields (river camping area) will even sell you some wood. If you want a hot shower in very clean efficient toilet block you have to walk or drive back to the farm, I prefer to walk through the meadows. We only discovered this place this year and have already been back twice and are planning another trip this weekend, no real downsides for me except one time the portaloos in the field were a bit smelly.
