We now have 2 sets of woodland showers close to some of the main camping areas and plenty of long drops dotted around the site. The central facilities area still has the flushing toilets and hot showers. We will stock more in the shop and get the Snack Shack going when you can't be bothered or need a great cup of coffee. Inwood is still large and varied, with its grassy meadows and all different sorts of woodland camping. Mark and Bruce are back for another year to help you when needed. Campfires and dogs are positively encouraged and there is always wood for sale, as well as our unique campfire grills for hire. For 2015 the grove of chestnuts will provide a new area of dappled woodland camping and has a couple of new self-contained meadows suitable for three or four tents. Our grassy meadows, enclosed within the mixed woodlands, and our large open field with views over the rolling North Wessex Downs to the North West remain, as do the numerous places to pitch within the woods themselves. You can go into the deciduous mixed woods, or go for what we call the Gothic camping and pitch within the stands of great fir trees. Oddly enough these areas are particularly good for large groups who have created extended tent villages in what has been described as a huge green cathedral. Inwood has large areas of un-camped woodland to explore within the site, places to build dens, and to get a bit lost in, as well as much wildlife, deer, rabbits and many birds including at least one pair of Nightingales.
