Dolgamedd is an 11 acre family run park, level and sheltered, set in beautiful scenery beside a river where camp fires are allowed. Swimming and fishing on site on the river Wnion. Riverside and woodland paths offering tranquility and a bird watchers paradise. An ideal location for sea and mountains and an excellent base for mountain biking - Coed y Brenin nearby.

2nd August 2008Originally chose this site because it was the nearest site to the National White Water Centre on the Tryweryn that allowed campfires. We had a long weekend here in glorious sunshine which always helps but were really impressed by the cleanliness and order here, the pitches are spacious and there is no extra charge for our gazebo. If you can`t get a pitch down by the river where the hearths are then the site have a few brazier type affairs you cah borrow. This is not the cheapest site in Wales but I felt it offered value for money, Free showers Etc. You can buy wood from reception but there is plenty of windfall in the local woods. I can highly recommend Dolgamedd and shall be using this site again. One down side the midges were out in force so take Deet/Citronella or get a good smoky fire going.
